Emulation is method of media preservation that I've always had a particular fondness for. I first emulated games when I was around 12 years old. There was a GameBoy Color emulator you could easily download off Safari, and all that was left was to download ROM's of whatever you wanted.
I always appreciated that people took the time out of their days to both create software that emulated antiquated hardware and upload authentic game files. It was an obvious labor of love. To emulate games is a labor of love too, albeit not as involved. Still, it wouldn't be an authentic emulation experience if you didn't have any technical difficulties. Mine began when I had to search for a new archived file to run, as my computer and the files on Archive.com didn't agree with each other.

Nevertheless, I was still entranced by the amount of world-building I did encounter. The narrative of being transformed from human entity to super computer is awfully chilling. Being told that you are the smartest thing in the universe through documents and briefings but then being unable to ask questions about who you are or what you're doing as PRISM is highly disenfranchising. In addition to the lack of self knowledge you possess as PRISM, you are also now at the crux of a national propaganda campaign with the entirety of "The Plan for Renewed National Purpose" riding on your success in simulation mode. It's a lonely, thankless, and confusing life as a super computer.

I hadn't anticipated the program to imitate a body of individuals but rather to speak through a personal lens. I think that the one using the more direct prompt is succinct and well organized, where the emotional one is a little flowery.

It's a trope as old as entertainment. From slap stick to physical comedy to watching people get blown apart in action movies, people love to watch destruction. I don't know if there will ever be a world in which people aren't interested in it.
